Venue: THAT Art Gallery

NB EXHIBITION VIEWABLE ON THE GALLERY WEBSITE AT WWW.THATARTGALLERY.COM UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

Contemporary art gallery That Art Gallery hosts its first exhibition in its new premises at 2 Upper Maudlin Street, BS2 8DJ.

Young Cornwall-based artist Dan Hollings was chosen by Saatchi Art as one of 34 artists from Europe and America to invest in – less than a month after graduating from Falmouth University (2018). Shortlisted for the 2018 MIDAS award, Dan subsequently exhibited at Newlyn Gallery in 2019 as part of Transition. Dan lives and works in Cornwall.

“Currently the works are heavily formed around the matter of identity, childhood, loss, interior and exterior issues, an inquisition to understanding situations and past events, in correlation to
today’s state of self. It’s a sense of joyment in playing.

“A grown-up angry child now finding a placement of belonging and playfulness within the works, while still reflecting in calamity through the paint.”
