Coffee van provides caffeination and brand awareness
Canons Wharf Coffee were giving away the first 50 drinks for free on Tuesday morning on their first day of opening.
A table and chairs had optimistically been set up next to their small van but the rain meant it was unoccupied at its location on Canons Way next to the entrance to Millennium Square Car Park.
Despite the inclement weather, barista Kevin William kept a smile on his face as he expertly made a flat white and oat latte for a customer who only lives a couple of minutes’ walk away, using beans roasted by Triple Co. in Montpelier.
Other than providing much-needed caffeination, this new venture is a branding exercise from the team behind Canons Wharf who are working to transform the former Lloyds headquarters building into what by 2027 could have restaurants, cafes and bars on its ground floors and office space above.
