Curzon’s Oscar night double bill
Got any plans for Oscar night (that’s Sun 22 Feb, fact fans)? Slumping on the sofa to watch it live in the small hours of the morning? Or ignoring the whole gushy, ghastly rigmarole to have an early night and catch up with the results on Monday morning? There’s a third option. Clevedon’s historic Curzon cinema is putting on a double bill of the finest films in this year’s Best Picture category: Richard Linklater’s Boyhood and Wes Anderson’s Grand Budapest Hotel. Perhaps even more prestigiously, both were included in Bristol 24/7’s Top Five Films of 2014 list late last year.
The double bill is part of the Curzon’s own swanky Awards Season. Upcoming screenings include Birdman and Best Foreign Language Film nominee, Leviathan. Foxcatcher and Selma are also expected to be confirmed shortly. For more details, visit the Curzon’s official site here.
