Big Jeff’s Tune of the Week: Twitching Sunshine by Die! Die! Die!

At the heart of of Twitching Sunshine is an undeniable passionate rage

Hailing from Dunedin, New Zealanders Die! Die! Die! have been tearing the ass out of the art punk sonic explosion – building a glowing reputation for their raw, white-knuckled attitude and breathtaking live shows.

‘Twitching Sunshine’ captures the band’s energy; starting off with walls of feedback, before swan-diving into heart-pounding beats and a thumping bassline, which smacks you in the face. At the heart of of ‘Twitching Sunshine’ is an undeniable passionate rage, delivered with a frosty sense of nihilism.

Their video for this song offers an outsider look at the history of the Black Panther movement in the US. They are clearly not afraid to pass comment on such histories to get people talking. ‘Twitching Sunshine’ is the title track from Die! Die! Die!’s new album - due out later this month.
