Police in Bristol have released an e-fit image of a young man they want to question about a sex assault on a teenage girl in  Easton.

On Wednesday, June 27, at 12.25pm, the girl was walking home along the footpath that joins onto St Marks Road from Stapleton Road train station when a man approached her.

He began to chat and flirt with her and asked for her phone number. When she refused he sexually assaulted her. As she ran away he began to shout abuse at her.

The man police want to speak to is black, around 5ft 6 to 5ft 7inches tall, of a skinny to normal build and about 17 years old.

He had afro style hair which was short and neat and was wearing a white, long-sleeved shirt, smart black trousers which had a label or ID badge made of hard plastic attached to the left trouser pocket.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or who may be able to identify the man is asked to call police on 101 quoting reference 69940/12, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
