Former Dragons’ Den panellist Doug Richard is among the speakers at a free event for business advice in Bristol later this month.

‘Save Money, Make Money’, which promises to help business owners tackle inefficiencies and boost their profitability, is aimed at fast-growing companies with a focus on Bristol’s creative industries.

It is being organised by Make It Cheaper, a London-based organisation whose free service has helped more than 3,500 businesses in the Bristol area save money by switching suppliers for their energy, telecoms and insurance.

Make It Cheaper is working in conjunction with Business West, Bristol Council, Bristol Media and Sift Media on the event’s programme to combine money-saving advice with inspirational speakers and networking opportunities. Local business heroes are being invited to join a panel session for a discussion with Doug to bring to life some of the challenges they face.

Speaking as a marketing launch began, Doug Richard said: “Entrepreneurs don’t normally have a balanced view of running a business. They’re obsessed with generating revenue and don’t pay nearly enough attention to cost-control. If that sounds like you then get along to this event as I can guarantee you’ll take away something worthwhile.”

‘Save Money, Make Money’ takes place at Paintworks on Thursday, June 28 from 4pm to 7pm. To register for free tickets visit http://www.makeitcheaper.com/about-us/events.aspx
