Stokes Croft to host Rave on Avon 2012

This year’s Rave on Avon, from the organisers of Brisfest, takes over clubs and music venues in Stokes Croft on Saturday May 19.

Goan Dogs at Bristol Grain Barge

Goan Dogs announced for Rave on Avon 2012

Rave on Avon will take over Stokes Croft on Saturday May 19 – bringing the best dance music from all over the South West.

Bristol’s original club hopping event, organised by the team behind Brisfest, will include a full day’s line-up starting at 2pm with both indoor and outdoor stages at participating venues – including Lakota, Blue Mountain, 51 Stokes Croft, Left Bank, The Croft, Canteen, The Bank and The Full Moon.

Fear of Fiction, which ran a brilliant stage at Simple Things Festival earlier this month (read review here), are putting on some top Bristol bands at The Croft – including Scarlet Rascal and the Trainwreck, Bravo Brave Bats, Goan Dogs and more.

The full day event is free before 6pm, after which time you’ll need a wristband (£8 in advance, £10 on the day) to gain entry into all participating venues where the line-up will feature the region’s top DJs and live acts.

Rave on Avon is a fundraiser for the Bristol Festival Community Group, the charity which organises Brisfest. It was previously part of the Brisfest programme. Tickets still available for Brisfest, which takes place at Ashton Court on September 22-23.

Tickets also available from Idle Hands, Bristol Ticket Shop, Canteen and Brisfest website. £8 advance / £10 on the day. More info at www.brisfest.co.uk/raveonavon
