Bosses at Bristol shopping centre The Mall at Cribbs Causeway have launched a free iPhone and iPad app to help shoppers make the most of their visit to the centre.

The Mall’s app gives access to stores’ latest offers and promotions, helps shoppers locate and contact stores and restaurants, and keeps them up to date with Mall events.

Cribbs appBy syncing with their own calendars, shoppers will receive reminders of forthcoming events, such as Bristol Fashion Week and the Winter Wonderland.

It also offers details of current job vacancies and provides fashion updates from the Bristol Fashion blog.

The Mall is the first shopping centre in the South West and only the second in the UK to offer a free app, following Westfield London at the end of last year. It aims to follow the strong growth in the uptake of smartphones in the last six months.

Maria Crayton, head of marketing at The Mall at Cribbs Causeway, said: “Mobile phone apps are a new and exciting way of connecting with our shoppers. We hope it will help them all the more to enjoy some of the best shopping in Bristol.”

The Mall’s App is available to download free from the App store and is designed for the iPhone and iPad.
