Are you visiting Bristol, but don’t have a guidebook to tell you what that beautiful old church is called, or where the large events and festivals are? Or are you a Bristol local who wants to a reminder of the history of the ss Great Britain?
Well, if you have an iPhone or iPad, you can now get the ultimate digital guide book thanks to Bristol-based GWS Media who have just released their new version of the Bristol App.
The free application provides a summary of various places, buildings and places to eat that the company likes, and gives you the chance to discover new places and parts of Bristol.
With local insider tips and a bit of local history – as well as plenty of up-to-date images to show you what you will see – the app also contains links to maps and directions for selected Bristol landmarks, places to enjoy the outdoors, as well as some top Bristol restaurants, theatres, cafes and galleries.
The company says it welcomes suggestions for inclusion – the second version takes on board user suggestions and the many different things that Bristol has to offer, including over 75 new locations.
