To celebrate its upcoming return to television, Forbidden Planet will hold a Doctor Who Fun Day at its Bristol megastore this Saturday.
Fans are expected to converge on the Clifton Heights shop to grab special offers on Who lines, and enter in-store competitions to win an array of time-and-space-related merchandise. Plus, anyone dressed in Doctor Who-related garb will get a special goody-bag.
Though the event will be part of a wider celebration, including in cities such as Coventry and Liverpool, the Bristol store will uniquely offer its customers the chance to chat about plans of world domination with – and to be exterminated by – a lifesize Dalek.
Anyone unable to attend can enter an online competition to win a Tardis-full of goodies including life-size standees, posters, T-shirts and toys, including a collection containing exclusive figures of all eleven Doctors!
Series six — or thirty-two to some! — will begin on Easter Saturday with the first of a two-part storyline, The Impossible Astronaut/ Day of the Moon, in which the Doctor (Matt Smith), and his companions, Amy Pond (Karen Gillan), Rory Williams (Arthur Darvill) and River Song (Alex Kingston) find themselves battling aliens with President Nixon. And Silence will fall…
The Doctor Who Fun Day will take place at Bristol’s Forbidden Planet megastore between 10am and 3pm on Saturday, April 9.
